Indoors / Outdoors

With this wonderful summer weather we've been having in recent months and spending more time in our homes, the importance of indoor/outdoor living is prominent. One of the biggest trends in architecture is blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces and there are a number of ways this can be achieved.

We can help you coordinate everything from the architecture and interiors through to the landscaping to create a seamless scheme that connects your home with its surroundings.

One of the key design factors for our recent projects has been creating that open plan indoor outdoor living to bring the outside in and framing the views out with carefully positioned windows. The most successful spaces to extend out are the kitchen, dining or living spaces.

The main ways we incorporate these ideas into our designs is through floor to ceiling minimal frame glass sliding doors and level thresholds. Uninterrupted expanses of glass make a big impact and allow you to open up your home directly into the garden to make great use of the space in Summer as well as letting in more natural light during Winter. The outdoor area immediately outside the house is a really important transitional space and a flush threshold with a similar floor finish inside and out creates that harmonious look that draws your eye out.

We work closely with our clients and really focus on every detail by using high quality materials and stylish designer furniture with our innovative designs to enhance your home and garden.
